Last week I appeared on the ‘What Makes a Great Music Video‘ panel at Sensoria Pro, with Martyn Ware of Heaven 17.
Sensoria is an annual film and music festival that takes place in Sheffield a (northern English) city boasting a rich musical heritage that includes Cabaret Voltaire, The Human League, Heaven 17, ABC, Pulp, The Arctic Monkeys, Def Leppard, Moloko, The Longpigs and Reverend & The Makers. Breaking News – ‘The Toadlickers‘ music video that I directed and produced for Thomas Dolby last year has just been nominated for not one, but two Webby Awards!
The Webby’s are The Oscars of the web, so this is quite a big deal!
The Toadlickers is one of five music videos nominated in the ONLINE FILM & VIDEO > MUSIC category of The Webby People’s Voice Award.

Victims
Yesterday I found myself with Chris Carr at a shoot on a London council estate…which makes a change.
On this occasion I was there purely as a spectator. Chris is producing ‘Victims’ a short film about domestic violence, starring Hattie Morahan (Outnumbered, Sense and Sensibility) and Briana Corrigan (formerly of The Beautiful South) and invited me down to meet the cast & crew and see the new Sony F3 in action.
