Recently I attended Sheffield DocFest, which I shall be publishing a piece about soon. In the meantime, what you need to know is that my favourite film of the festival, ‘Basically Johnny Moped’, has its London premiere at KOKO, on Thursday 19th September. It will be an extra special event as the subject of the film, proto punks, The Johnny Moped band, whose various lineups included Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders and Captain Sensible of The Damned, will be reforming and playing a gig straight after the film…and Captain Sensible will be joining them on stage! If you want to attend I’d recommend booking now, via this link, as the event is guaranteed to be a sell out.
