Recently I was invited to Torture Garden‘s birthday ball, at The Coronet, by a friend who was performing there…at least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it (like gaffer tape to a nipple).

Part way through the show, one of the acts thought it would be a good idea to throw (non bodily) fluids in the direction of the camera I was using, which created a few technical hitches. Nevertheless, here are some pics from the main stage featuring John Jon, the Bibian Blue fashion show, EastEnd Cabaret, Chrisalys & Sabrina Sweepstakes and Yusura Bush Watcher.

Last month, legendary punk rock guitarist, Captain Sensible, did a mini UK tour. I went to see him in Bristol, at Area 81 Rock Club. Before venturing forth, I checked the club’s web site for directions, which helpfully informed me “We are located in Lawrence Hill in Bristol, between Holy Skin tattoo shop & the Pack Horse pub.” Who, I wondered, as I journeyed West, would use a pub AND a tattoo parlour as locator beacons?
